Vintage Lego sets

I bought a job lot of vintage lego at an auction last weekend. Was amazed to discover that set 312 with the boats was 100% complete and still had most of its original packaging. The second set was almost complete but sadly the box had been damaged.

(Picture 3) Vintage bricks on the bottom compared to modern bricks on the top. The changeover was gradual throughout the 60s as molds wore out. Very early sets were different still. However, like all lego, each is compatible with every other brick ever made.
