Garage Sale Find in Rockford, IL. Believed to be advertising from 1890-1910. Wood appears very dry. Lots of water damage. Wondering if it true antique sign. I love her and would like to know more about her.

Oilman is right, this is a fake fantasy item made in the 1970's. The image or hilda is from 1890's, but sadly, the board, and pasted paper, isn't. The image is hilda clark, an opera singer back in the day. These were made as items to fool others, sorry. Maybe worth 2 or 5 bucks IMO.

yeah, thanks...i've seen a few other comments on other posts with good ole hilda. have you seen any real hilda clark stuff?
    4. cocacolakid97 cocacolakid97, 13 years ago
Yes, the image is based on a poster by coke made in 1901, and a calender. Poster is worth 16,000 dollars if real. calender is worth almost 9,000 dollars.

These were part of a numerous number of fake items of similar nature that came out in the late 70's due to the nostalgia craze kicked up by the nation's bicentennial.
It is the worst of all fakes and is worth absolutely nothing. Sorry.

I also have one of these, mine is in a little better shape. I started collecting coca cola stuff when my grandmother died and left me her collector bottles. I have always wondered how much this was worth, my mom picked it up from a flea market in the mid 90's for $25. I have since grown out of collecting coke items but have this hung in my living room. I'm not at all disappointed that its a fake, I still love it and wouldn't sell it even if it was worth $16,000, or I like to think I wouldn't sell it

I also have the item but I think mine is an original. how can you tell?
    12. cmdehlinger, 12 years ago
Hello, how do you tell the difference from a fake one and a real one. I also have one but I can see the differences between this one and mine. If real what are they worth?
      Thank you

I have the same advertisement piece but mine is on 4 horizontal boards. I've seen a lot with 5 and 6 boards like this one. Were the reproductions that came out in the 70's made all differently? Thank you.
