Luck, blessing and prosperity arrived at home!
A pair of hat pins, bearing the "fu" character :-)
3.3cm diameter, long stems, 24.5 and 21.5cm.
Unmarked, but I know they were made in Indochina, as my grand -mother, who lived in Saigon, had various accessories made there.
Very oxidized, I cleaned them with a silvercloth, leaving the dark patina in dragon's background.
The stems are very thick, never seen same till now... perhaps for straw hats as no fabric could resist to their piercing!
They joined the bunch of long hatpins displayed in a high glass dome.

Gosh these are lovely Pascale and what a fabulous collection of long ones you have! "Daggers of Fashion" I have seen them called lol. I only have 2 of the very long ones:-)
No Gary... No sheep, no goat... just get down of my lawn mower, grrr ;-)
Thank you for your sweet and funny comment, my friend!
Judy, thanks for your appreciation of my daggers! Now you have to show yours ;-)
I collect hat pins since 30 years, when I haunted flea markets, I always had corks to avoid being poked by my buys :-D
Love back to you, Hel1, Aura, Vetraio, Fortapache, Caperkid, Mike and JImam!
Some of the great Indochina markings and decoration make this a beauty and a winner !~
Hi Phil! Thank you for your appreciation, I'm a huge fan of this kind of Asian old repousse, and love the contrast given by the patina :-)
Warm thanks for your lovely visit, Loumanal, Quantumphysica, Ho2cultcha, Ken and Phil!
Just lovely... your slowing down on your posting .... hows the kids...?
