This pair of Victorian ruby glass salts are made from two layers of cased glass - clear over a thin ruby lining. They have a rounded, four sided form with four integrally moulded feet.
Both measure 4.5 cm tall, one is 6.7 cm wide across, the other 6.4 cm.
Op shop (thrift store) finds.
English, perhaps?
Sweet salts, Ha Ha. Another nice score. Could these be Bohemian ? I only say that, because the feet look a little chunky, but I dont know what Victorian salt feet, should look like. I do know that I would have snapped up both of you finds in a heartbeat.
Many thanks, rockbat...yes it was one of my best days ever...I'd already found the basket & these were a nice bonus. Very pleased as salts usually have damage & these were perfect. I'm not sure if Bohemian or English, but don't mind at all whatever they are!
