      I would say late 1880's to early 1890's, most trunks were decorated with colorful borders and trim on the inside, also pictures," Chromeo lithographs" were random pictures, ranging from, women, children, wild life scenes and many more, purely decoration. Some trunks had metal plates with the trunk makers name on it, but i think this one is the persons name that owned the trunk, greendog.
