I bought these antique prints at an estate sale this past weekend. They appear to be original Ricordi lithographs printed the early 1900s. I do believe they are original stone lithographs as opposed to color separation prints because the extreme close-ups of the prints show irregular marks due to the stone imprints and not a regular pattern of dots as a color-separation might show.

These prints are around 14 inches by 10 inches. It is my understanding, after some research, that they might have been used as "salesmen samples" to shop around the larger posters.

But, what do I know other than some internet research and comparison?!

Do you have any clues or opinions to determine a lithograph from a regular print?

I'd appreciate any input, advice, suggestions, and opinions.

Regardless, I think my little posters are beautiful.

    Thanks!

Breathtaking! Will you frame them? Is #4 supposed to be a devil?

And, thanks for the nice comment, PostCardCollector! It isn't supposed to be the devil. But, I thought that too! It's actually a poster of railway workers in the Simpson Tunnel for the Milan 1906 Worlds Fair.
