Loetz Diaspora by Koloman Moser for the Retailer Bakalowitz

An iconic design for Loetz done by one of the masters himself Koloman Moser. The form is 85/5032 which means it was made for the Vienna retailer Bakalowitz and is typically found with elaborate Phänomen Genre decors.

This Diaspora stands 7" tall and is 7 1/2" wide. The mouth is 5 wide at its largest opening.

Bright silver blue and pink iridescence pops off the surface. Three tadpole legs add to the decor as well. I love the undulating form at the upper third of the vase. The decoration might be simple but the form makes up for that and as a friend said, " If you have only one Diaspora, this is the one to have."
