Bisque Shoulderhead doll with bisque forearms
Number 139
Number should be by Heinrich Handwerck or Kestner but marking is not theirs.
She measures 20"
Has leather body with cloth lower legs
I would like to identify her and have not been able to.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you.
Susan

I have to question their reference to it being a Ernst but it is same as your doll. I will get my book out and try and locate the mark . It is close to one that Heinrich Handwerck used so I am wondering if it is a variation of it .
Manikin,
Ernst Heubach, definitely has different markings. I agree, it is close to H. Handwerck but I have looks in 3 different books and none are like mine. Thank you very much. I do appreicate any help.
I agree but when we find who's mark it is we can share it . I happened to see the one on ebay with same mark but doubted their reference to maker but it shouldn't be so hard to find another with correct company name attached to it . She has that typical dolly face so much help by characteristics .
Well, I am going to put her on Ebay and, if you don't mind, I will use your wording possible "variation of" Heinrich Handwerck. Sometimes people email me and might have info. I will let you know.
Thank you so much. I have never used CW before, but this was a great experience and will do so again.
Best regards,
