I bought this chair at an estate auction and thought it was adorable! It's a bit wobbly so I don't want to use it for my daughter to sit on, but I do keep it in her room for decoration.
I would really be interested in finding out more about it though.
The legs are about 15' tall, the seat is about 12" square and the back is only about 10" high.
I've never seen anything like it, and I'm not having any luck Googling it either.
Any ideas or info would be greatly appreciated!!!
This is a wild guess, but see if you can find anything in the P. Derby Chair Company catalogs online. Your chair looks to be from the right era. Best of luck!
A lot of tradiditional style furniture does not have a category or style to them. The maker put his own stylings, a mixture, when making the piece. Unless you have a company stamped or labelled on bottom, you will never know the maker - most furniture companies left no records at all and in the 1970's hundreds to thousands of ones in North America had closed by then. In Canada alone there were hundreds listed that closed and no history was left behind.
