Made in Japan ceramic match holder/strikers in the shape of a skull resting on a book - all have an opening at the top for holding matches. The largest is 4" tall, has a moving lower jaw, an additional striker at the temples, and a dramatic spot on the forehead that implies a rather serious wound. The middle striker is 3 1/4" tall, also has a moving lower jaw, and is marked as a souvenir of Chicago, Illinois. (Perhaps they should start selling these again.) The smallest is 2 3/4" tall and is one piece permanently fixed into a menacing grin.

      Good morning artfoot,
These are soooo cool! I am trying to figure out exactly where and who might have had these sitting around to use. I probably would have !!! It definitely makes for an "odd" Chicago souvenir. But then again, it might fit in these days... Later, Thrifty
