    (175 items)

    Hello everyone.
I really love this bracelet!! Bought from a second hand shop about 5 years ago and cost $21.00 from memory.
It is so comfortable to wear as the chain is articulated, if that is the right word!! I am guessing the green stones are paste or glass, either way a lovely colour.
I don't know how old this would be, I have seen similar bracelets described as pinchbeck with gilt overlay and either Georgian or Victorian......would of course be nice if it was.......but I have no clue......could be a revival piece perhaps.
So I will mark as a mystery and hopefully someone might be able to solve it for me! Nothing marked at all on it either!
Look forward to hearing your thoughts on this piece, thanks, Judy

Hi Jan, thanks for the nice comment! I really love to wear it :-)

This looks just gorgeous! There was so much attention paid to the details and that makes it look beautiful and special. Something one can't find today in jewelry made of cheaper material.
I would say it definitely it's 19th century and more towards the beginnig than the end of it.

A lovely example of paste and pinchbeck/gilt metal early Victorian jewellery, Judy!
      Around 1840!
Really agree with Lisali about quality and details in those antique "costume" pieces.
You did well in buying and wearing this beauty

      Lisali and Kyra!!
Well you could knock me over with a feather!! Never expected it to be that old, thought for sure it was going to be a cheap later copy of an old one.......that is just terrific and thanks so much to you both......one happy girl here......mystery solved :-) )))

Believe it or not, Yesterday, I Dozed off around noon and drempt of a similar bracelet--gold chain band and 3 green stones in verticle rectangles- So I went to ebay and looked for awhile--nothing like it--and OMG yesterday you put this on--which is so similar in the "gold" chain band and 3 green stones. My eyes popped out.
I dremed I was in Peru, and it was real gold tho. I don't even wear jewelry. Kinda odd, dont cha think! H Ha!
I am legally blind and make many mistakes--so I corrected this above post with a magnifier and that is why it is on 2 times--maybe you could remove the post above with many errors?

Hi Postcardcollector, that's a bit spooky isn't it!

Sure would be great to dream of something that we really wanted and then have it magically be available for us lol.

Do you know that sometimes when I have a piece that I have been researching for a long time, I have very involved dreams where I find out everything I want to know about it...and in the morning get horribly disappointed that it was a dream and I didn't find it afterall!! How crazy is that.....

Thanks for telling me your story, I deleted the post for you, it must be very difficult for you. You take care and thanks for the love :-)

      Hi Karen, thank you!
I love it when something that I haven't seen before jumps out at me to buy and it turns out to be something really good!!
Things that I don't have in my collection are what I am trying to concentrate on these days which is good as I am not spending as much on ordinary variations of what I already have, if that makes sense lol! Except for arts and crafts pieces of course!!:-) )

Something is spooky about me alright. Last week I kept dreaming of a cat. Two days ago I went out side to my drive way as a stranger walked up with a very small kitten, saying "Is thisytour kitten? I said "no" He said "It was in the street right in front of your house. I put out my hands and said "I'll take care of it" tI was the very same looking cat I was dreaming of!!! I took it to the vet, it was needing antibioic and eye dreps, He said it is about 4 weeks old. It has begun lapping special baby kitten formula. She is doing real well!! I named her "Lily"-- I know it is hard to believe, but honest to GOD... the truth.
    22. TassieDevil TassieDevil, 7 years ago
Well that is strange pcc! I'm glad you kept the kitten though and that it is doing well:-)
