because i don't know much about jewelry i really need help with this one
i'm sure it is gold even without a hallmark and i believe older than 1900
therefore it should be platinum in the center? silver should be patinated i think... there are ten diamonds and is it a smaragd? is it possible to tell the age and or origin by the way it was made or the by design? is it a hallmark at the outside... can't find my magnifying glass and my gold scale has dissapeared as well...should be round about 10 gramm...

The 'rose cut' diamonds are one clue to the age. The green stone does look like it could be a 'raw' emerald. Hope some of the more knowledgeable people will tell you what they know.
I love this ring!!! It looks like an emerald to me and it is faceted, not raw. It has a classic emerald cut, it's just been worn down...not always a bad thing. I was wondering about the weight... And yes, you are right, that could be platinum. the diamonds look like a rough cut. Unless I don't know what I'm saying there. It's gorgeous!
