I accidentally run into this lock. I have no clue whatsoever the importance or value. This is not for sale but I would like any information available.
I am not a collector but I guess this item is not to be thrown in the dustbin.

The cover on your lock appears to be marked "V&R Blakemore / Birmingham (England)." Blakemore was an agent, sometime around WWI, possibly later, who seems to have specialized in procuring hardware, locks, and guns which it marketed in the Far East.
lol looking a pic 3 the locks don't look to be worth a darn to the fellas locking something up, due to the fact a hand file will open it up ...nice job Uncle Ron
