    I accidentally run into this lock. I have no clue whatsoever the importance or value. This is not for sale but I would like any information available.
    I am not a collector but I guess this item is not to be thrown in the dustbin.

      The cover on your lock appears to be marked "V&R Blakemore / Birmingham (England)." Blakemore was an agent, sometime around WWI, possibly later, who seems to have specialized in procuring hardware, locks, and guns which it marketed in the Far East.
