I can't really say I've ever *intended* to collect Jade-ite, but my little stack of these bowls keeps growing anyway...? <lol> The 3rd one here just came along last week, and is probably actually the oldest (or at least most-used?) of all, showing a little surface scratching inside from many, many spoonfuls of soup previously held.
All 3 are 5" across and 2-1/4" high, and are basically identical but for minor variations of the same (Anchor-Hocking) FIRE-KING logo on their bottoms -- the old one simply reading "Fire-King OVEN WARE", the 2nd one with a small "7" underneath that, and the 3rd (newest?) with a "17" and adding "MADE IN U.S.A."
I believe these would have been from the A-H 'restaurant ware' line of Fire-King glass, but am not certain of that. (does anybody else know offhand?) No matter to me really...they're just a fun color, as well as being *truly useful* heavy-duty soup bowls, which in fact remain in regular usage in my kitchen. :-) :-) :-)
I started a collection of these in 1981 and loved them !~
Love the colour :-)
THANKS SO MUCH to PhilDMorris, TassieDevil, TimeTraveller, fortapache, Caperkid, Nafsslag [love that 'handle' BTW...] & valentino97 for y'all's kind comments and <love it>s!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
...I mean "Nafssalg" of course...what an embarrasing typo... <groan><headdesk>
Even more THANKS to aura & Vynil33rpm for stopping by for a look and a <love it>! :-) :-) :-)
If y'all are interested, I now have yet one more *similar* bowl in my stack, shown here:
