kyratango
(439 items)
The brooch just arrived, kyratisation work on progress!
I tried first to make prints of the lone leaf with polymer clay, bake this "mould" in order to press polymer clay in it to get matching leaves...
Impossible to get them off the mould with all details without shattering... grrr!
So, only possibility was to cut two leaves in shape of the model, gild them with gold leaf before baking 15 minutes at 130 Celsius in the oven.
Will see if they are good enough to glue them in place...
To be continued :-)
UPDATE:
Kyratisation completed!
Well... Gold (real!) leaf color is more warm yellow than the existing leaves... But, I can't do better :-/
Good luck.
Hi Jean! Finished! :-D
Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
Oops, I see you’ve put a photo on. You’ve done a great job, love it.
Job well done. Your cw picture is funny.
Thanks Jean :-))
Caperkid, thanks! And for the profile pic too! A dog found a denture in his garden, the owner took pics before dumping the thing in the trash, lol!
Thank you Val for your kind words and loving it :-D
Thanks for your loves, Hel1, Newfld, Fortapache and Aura!
Pascale, it looks terrific, I knew you would find a way to fix it!! Well done!!
It is really lovely and I love it even more now :-) )
Awww, Judy! Thank you :-)
The moonstone has a strange cut: not a domed cabochon, but flattened on top!
This makes the brooch looking like view of a pond among leaves under moonlight.
It looks fantastic ! I knew you would make it complete again and stunning ! love
