I remember having an amber glass horse with the most fragile legs, I don't know what ever became of it. I am still a horse lover and absolutely love your piece! And I wasn't aware that Viking made animals, thanks for helping me learn too!
Thank you so much for the kind words Cindy, this particular horse was in their '74 catalog but they designed "window glass animals" for many years before & after that till closing down in the late '90s. They do have fragile legs compared to the thick body, sort of like a real horse

Newfld, is it possible to get old Pilgrim catalogs?
Unless someone has them, usually the only records available are in art glass books or excerpts on internet search engines, those are mainly my sources, plus of course from the former owners & if they left the label on. Thanx for being so interested Cindy, keep looking & good luck - Jenni

Thanks so much vcal for loving this and other glass horses of mine today, it's truly nice of you and I'm very grateful :)
Very interesting form for Viking. Without the label, I wouldn't have recognized it.
Thank you Deano for the love & great comment. You probably know that Viking acquired Rainbow Glass in 1968, well thereafter Viking made alot of similar animals to Rainbow's, this #7275 horse from the mid-70s (as seen in Viking ads from 74-75 illustrated in book Popular 50s & 60s WV glass by Leslie Pina) has an almost identical design to Rainbow's horse #804
