LOUMANAL
(436 items)
I picked up a few Tango vases on the weekend at a local show. This vase was my first purchase mostly because I liked the applied black base matching the trim on the rim. Another interesting aspect was the four stacked lobes and the clear outer glass being moulded down into the base. Since I have been unable to find a similar Tango vase to help in the identification and since most of the similar black & red tango pieces were being identified as by Michael Powolny, can I assume that this is a Loetz Tango vase? It measures 10 1/4" tall with a 4" diameter base and a 5" rim. Thanks for any assistance, BOB

Wow Bob, what a fabulous size and wonderfully vibrant!
Thanks Phil! What do you think? Loetz or Kralik or something else?

I think its Kralik because the shape has been seen with a solid foot and kralik pontil- I display my Loetz tango with Kralik of the same quality, they were neighbors after all. cool piece!!
Haha, just found it- send me a email if you want the pic- jerichohair@yahoo.com
Thanks Jericho for the link. It is an active auction link so we can’t show it here. The shape is quite similar but the vase is only 8” tall, the base is all green like the vase; mine is an applied shell type base while this one is blown in one piece with a sealed under base & polished Pontil. Maybe after the eBay listing is over, we can show the comparisons. Bob

A bit late to comment but love the vibrant red and the 4 lobes. Totally Deco!
A great score!
Thanks Glasstronaut for the comments. I’m watching your Bohemian glass uploads...looks like you have some pretty unique pieces. Bob
Love that foot! Very cool shape, and of course ribbed red above it doesn't hurt.
