    The Kit-Cat Creed:
    Put a smile on everyone’s face;
    Love in everyone’s heart;
    Energy in everyone’s body;
    and Be a positive force in everyone’s life!

    A gift to me from a friend years ago, I've had this guy for awhile (in a box, partially disassembled because one of his eyes was damaged) but now at long last, he's had his 'eye surgery' and is back in one piece, on the wall where he belongs! He still has some 'issues' with his motor (an unusual and now kinda unobtanium 30rpm thing because of the animation movement) so probably isn't a reliable timepiece at the moment (yet?) but otherwise he's fully functional again and I'm very happy to welcome him into my home where he does indeed 'put a smile on my face' every time I glance at him. :-) :-) :-)

    I think (again, via info on website above) this particular clock was made in the 1980's, maybe 1984 if I'm guessing how to interpret its 'date stamp' correctly.

      When working properly and nice and clean, a wonderful item for your kitchen. A lot of people make fun of that type of decorating. I just ignore them as they usually have nothing in their home to make a comment about in the first place. The piece is kitsch and a perfect illustration of the word, BUT these cats are lovable and so much fun, a super score !!

      for leaving such kind comments!! <applause>

      For the record I *absolutely* and *wholeheartedly* agree with everything you said, Phil! As a matter of fact, one of my Grandmas had a Kit-Cat in her kitchen in the late 1960's/70's...not this one of course, but still one more good memory triggered when I now look at him hanging on my wall?! :-) :-) :-)

      OH -- and EJW -- check their website, one can still purchase brand new Kit-Cat Klocks, though they now are produced with battery operated motors.
