In WW1, I don't know wat position Bavaria was in. Enlighten me. There is such beautiful handwriting on the back, and a 5 cent Bavarian stamp. What a marvel of a dog!!! Dog lovers should love this.

The First large word wholsahrts is an Austrian-German word and "postcard" after it. So I am a bit confused now. Maybe someone reads foreign languages here. or knows uniforms really well?

Bavaria was a Kingdom in the German Empire. This is a fund raising card for a rescue dog organization during WWI. The soldier is a dog handling medic and has a flashlight hanging from his neck. Nice card!
WONDERFUL INFORMATION!! I am so very glad that you posted here. I now feel we actually KNOW something about this card. Thanks SOOO much! Lois
