charmsomeone's post yesterday of a (similar) pair of these prompted me to remember and go looking for my own. :-)

Probably found at a junk store 25+ yrs ago (I've had 'em awhile) it turns out mine aren't *quite* identical to charmsomeone's, but pretty d*mn close anyways. (somebody copied somebody else's design?) The metal tops (and bottoms, unlike charmsomeone's) of these seem to be made of stainless steel, the wooden portion of each appears to me to be made of rosewood. (definitely not walnut or teak, anyway) The white rubber (-ish) plugs in the bottom of each one are embossed "MADE IN DENMARK" but other than that there aren't any marks to indicate who actually made them or how old they truly are.
Very nice salt and pepper shakers.
Possibly designed by Lone Sachs and made by Lundtofte?
