OK, Moonhill's post of the fantastic mistletoe mounted Olympia vase has got me inspired to share this item.
It is a Loetz vase in creta Papillon on a cold painted bronze mount. This PN was commissioned by Bakalowits for this mount. The vase is tiny at 2.5" tall and has 4 dimples and 8 ruffles.
When it arrived it was in a little disrepair and showing its age. The mount was bent and unbalanced, the vase wouldn't sit nicely on the base and the iris was missing a leaf. After a little TLC it is straight, stable and one of my favorite pieces.
OK, Sammys, you know I adore crete décor, I am the one freak out right now.
Maybe small but wonderful.
