Once you know what to look for...
Once only known in written sources, LUCIDUS marked glass articles made by Loetz for a customer of Walter Minde in Liberec were discovered about a year ago to be cameo glass perfume lamps. This the second one I've been lucky enough to find. This one is in a shape that is catalogued as PN III-3906, ca. 1928. It is properly marked near the bottom on the side, but the mark is somewhat obscured. It also has a spurious "Galle" signature on the base, which is annoying, but it doesn't bother me too much, as these are quite rare. The beautiful pale blue "ozon" ground with an overlay of dark brown looks almost like white and red when lit from within.
Incredible find, congrats!!
Congratulations, Warren !!!
How wonderful. Thank you for all you share!
