Large hanging lamp, wood w gesso. Am I right in guessing USA circa 1920s?

I’m a stained glass painter, and I’m thinking of panels to create for this piece!

You are correct about stained glass panels, looks like a beautiful folk art lamp !~

Thanks Phil, can you guesstimate the year of manufacture?

I would think you are close in the date, although it possibly could go easily to the very beginning of the century. I used to use car body filler instead of plaster to fix all the broken pieces. It sets a bit quick, but the bonding can't be beat and can be filed and sanded down. Its a gorgeous piece !

That looks SO much like a light fixture that could have first lived in an early 1900's movie-palace theatre?!!

I guess that’s possible! It’s heavy; thick wood with a thin gilded gesso coating. The electrical fixture looks to have been replaced at some point at least 60 years ago. Very curious to know if anyone else has come across something like this. Appreciate your input.
