I guess that’s possible! It’s heavy; thick wood with a thin gilded gesso coating. The electrical fixture looks to have been replaced at some point at least 60 years ago. Very curious to know if anyone...

Thanks Uncle Ron! Everyone I've shown this to thinks it's some type of tack hammer, perhaps a 'finishing hammer'. I used it on my first frame today and it was *wonderful*. :)
