    Slate top writers desk..has lift lid for compartment storage..all wood metal lid hinges..railing on top of desk..ornate sides on leg and small bottom shelf

      No offense meant, but the photos aren't that great and it's blocked by the two small chests. I've seen these with a drop-down slate writing surface, but not like this one. Very nice. Had to give it a "love".

      Well, as far as age, not without photos that can be examined closely. As to value, I think the rules of this site discourages that.
