A pretty Victorian vase, very similar to 3 others I have posted here, https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/161475-stourbridge-victorian-uranium-cased-glas & https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/229767-victorian-tri-lobed-shaped-ribbed-glass , I wouldn't be surprised if they're by the same maker, although I don't know who that is for sure ive seen as possibly Stevens & Williams.
It has two applied wrap around clear leaves, a cream body, pink interior and glows very brightly under UV.
Pretty in pink, and so reactive!
Thank you Karen. I read here that this colours known as Rasberry pink :)
Love it! Boulton & Mills is another possibility, they also made this so - called Autumnal Ware. The acanthus leaf was certainly one of the iconic motifs of Victorian applied glass...
Hi IronLace, thank you for the comment, you've given me a couple more names to add to the repertoire :) one thing that surprised me was it's weight, it's only 5 1/2" tall and very heavy for its size.
My pleasure...as to the weight, that is triple cased glass for you, it has a solidity second to none.
Very pretty vase!!
Lovely!
Thank you jscotto and Mrystyndall, and happy New Year to you!
what a marvel
Just Very Pretty Vase! Love it!
Thank you kivatinitz and worthit2, it is pretty...and heavy!
