I WAS JUST LOOKING THROUGH THE IMAGES OF OTHER ASIAN VASES, AND FOUND THE SAME SIGNATURE ON ITEM #424. THERE WAS SOME REFERENCE TO KUTANI IN THE COMMENTS. ALSO A REFERENCE TO NIPPON. SOMETHING I CAN RESEARCH.

It’s the best Japanese version of Gouda that I’ve ever seen.

The signature needs to be rotated 90 degrees to the right.
    4. vetraio50 vetraio50, 7 years ago
      I think it is Satsuma.

It looks like an imitation of a Dutch pottery called Mijnlieff.

      Quite something actually.
    6. vetraio50 vetraio50, 7 years ago
That would date it to the late nineteenth century to about 1910. Jan Willem Mijnlieef set up the company called “Aardewerkfabriek Fayence-en Tegelfabriek Holland” in Utrecht, Holland in 1894.

Brantjes Purmerend also worked in something similar.

      The mark says KINKOZAN, NIPPON.
Kinkosan was a well known Kyoto Satsuma kiln.
I have an art deco vase made by Kinkozan in 1920-30s.
