the ACME ROTARY MINCER, in green

Because of course, "tastefully served food tastes better" after all -- it says so right there on the box! <giggle>

This was found in a carton of old kitchen stuff from a storage locker. Its original cardboard box is in poor condition, but its panels are still mostly readable, with 'directions' on the back, and 'cleaning instructions' on the sorta crushed side. According to the 'directions', apparently this gadget was intended "to mince parsley, spinach, celery (etc)" and "to cut noodles", and is "especially valuable for preparing food for invalids and health food vegetables which are eaten raw" <lol> and was basically operated by being rolled back and forth across your vegetables (or noodles) previously laid out on a cutting board. Its 10 round blades actually are kinda sharp...this would definitely *not* be the kind of kitchen gizmo to leave out for the kids to play with?! <eeek>

The whole thing is about 7-1/2" long, of stainless steel with a green wooden handle. There's a triangular shaped logo stamped on the movable 'blade guard' portion of it, reading "ACME MGM CO." I am not exactly certain of the function of the small loose metal part along with it, but that seems to be able to help 'lock' the 'blade guard' part in place somehow. (?) I finally found another one like it pictured online, which attributes its date to ~1935, which seems logical enough to me...?
