Does anyone have any information on this figure. It was bought at an antique store but they had no information on it. It’s solid and heavy. I can’t find any markings on it. It feels smooth and non porous like bone or ivory. I just want to know some history and information.

You give no information whatsoever, just like as if I have mine sitting on a chair right now. Size ?? picture of underneath?? No clues.

It’s about 16” tall and on a wood pedestal that I’m not sure is original or added. It appears to be hand carved it does not look like it came from a mold but I’m no expert.

The lines are not perfect and the bottom that’s connected to the base is not a perfect circle.

Some of the best copies are made of resin, which I believe this is one of. If you were able to remove the black modern base you would see my point.

this is an faux ivory ivory ( polymere ) the trick is they deliver an stand that people can,t see, that there is not an ivory or an marin origin in it, because the bottom is an indicator
