Merely a month after I added a new décor to my tri-lobed heart vases I've found a pair in another décor I didn't have. This one is oxblood and white spatter on a brick red ground. It's quite similar to the one in image four which is the same spatter but on a mustard yellow ground.
These two however have atypical rigaree, a first for me. The typical rigaree on a tri-lobed heart vase can be seen in image four.
Height 16 cm./7 inches

Among others thanks to your collection Welz seems to grow into one of the best known, prolific and creative glass makers of the era.
I have a yellow variegated example with the same applied rigaree as these. Not that common to find it. Nice find!! and a pair to boot!!
Thank you, Ivonne, but I just have a passion for collecting and have done none of the ground work!
Yes, Craig, I've just been to look which ones you have that I don't and noticed it. Ivonne's right that Welz is becoming better known.......certainly the case here!
These really are lovely Sklo!! Love them!
Thanks, Justanovice, the rigaree sets them apart from the rest.
Warning - it will never end,,,,,,,
It seems to me Welz made a new decor every day!
And when they weren't turning out new décors they were adding different rigaree or re-using existing moulds the other way up!
Beautiful colors :)
Thank you, Trey, glad they please you.....colour is so personal!
Your welcome :)
