In 1895, Johann Distler founded the metalware factory Johann Distler KG in Nuremberg.
Until World War I mainly Penny Toys were produced which were sold through wholesalers like Moses Kohnstam. After the war, aircraft and mechanical figures came into the program.
1920-1936 The company reached 120 employees and produced over 800 articles. In addition to mainly cars were mainly manufactured aircraft and mechanical figures.
In 1936 Ernst Voekl took over the company of the Jewish Johann Distler and in April 1938 the Trix company. Since the product mix of the two companies is very different, Distler mainly produces tin toys, sheet metal vehicles, and department stores and mail order, while Trix produces high quality railways of tracks 00 / H0 and N, as well as metal construction kits.
In the 1950s, Distler reconnected with the "Porsche 7500" to the prewar successes.
In 1958, the production of the track 0 was set in favor of the track H0 battery track, with 3 volt battery power. Whether the rails were purchased a cardboard sleepers tape from Trix or Fleischmann is not yet clear.
In 1962, the production was discontinued, the tools sold to Belgium where some models such as the above-mentioned Porsche and some HO models were further produced
