This past weekend at the Flea Market, was one good find after another, and this antique tin chocolate mold, was another one of them. The tin mold is in the shape of a Dutch shoe, and it's 4 parts are hinged together, and then held tight with spring clips, that are connected to the mold so that none of the parts, can be separated and possibly lost. It's kind of the "top of the line" chocolate mold! :^D
The total length of the mold is 6 1/2", by 3" tall, and 2 3/4" at the widest point. It makes a mold that's 6" by 2 3/8" by 1 3/4" wide, and has a finished surface that looks like wooden grain, with a couple of knots in it, in the shape of a Dutch shoe.
I think that this tin chocolate mold, was made in the 1920's or earlier, but is unmarked. On other Dutch shoe molds that I saw that were similar, and marked, some were made in France, but I don't know about this one!
Thanks for checking out my new antique tin chocolate shoe mold! :^)
The photographs of the inside of the chocolate mold is reflecting the red color of my camera, and make it look rusty, but it is clean tin, silvery gray! :^)
Thank you for the love AdeleC! :^)

Hey SpiritBear, thanks for the love! :^)
Your flea markets turn up such interesting and unique things bill! This is fantastic.
Yes they do every once in a while Karen, this past weekend was better then most though! I think in the winter, if it's going to be good weather on the weekend, more sellers come out, and the regulars, maybe step-it-up, because of the competition, with the extra sellers! Good for me! :^D
Thank you for your comment Karen, and the love, and to you too fortapache! Always appreciated! :^)
