These cast iron toy train cars are the large floor style and I think they were made by Kenton, Circa 1920s. One of the passenger cars has a broken coupling bar, but besides that they are in pretty good shape and the wheels all work properly. The engine is 8 3/4", the coal car is 4", the mail car is 10 1/2", the passenger car is 10 3/4" and the viewing car is 11".
They were given to my son by his grandfather, who used to play with them as a kid. As a child of the modern era, my son was less than enthused about such a heavy, clunky toy when Legos, K'nex and the like were around. As an adult he didn't want to take them with him, so they still sit on a shelf in what was his room. They are a nice reminder of days gone by, and a much simpler life.
