Found these at a an estate sale. Any idea if they are vintage, who the manufacturer may be? The glass looks like it is imbedded with ball of colored glass and there looks like gold flakes inside the glass in the feathers. Thanks in advance.

These are the real deal. Although I can't tell you the exact maker, they are definitely Murano Venetian Glass. The most interesting part for me, is the colored beads, very unusual.

Beautiful birds, I believe they are either pheasants or birds of paradise, as these birds were most often atop a platform base. Would look gorgeous at each end of a mantel top

Found a very similar bejeweled pheasant by Murano. They're hard to find. A very good buy - very, very good.

Thank you for comments. Im trying to research what the technique is for the color on surface of the glass, its like embedded. It doesnt quite fit the definition of Murrine? Or Millefiori? Cant figure the technique. Think if I know what its called, i can get info on the manufacturer

Maybe Archimede Seguso for Murano Glass, that's a very beautiful pair of pheasants Rrara64, and welcome to CW! :^)

Not sure how to explain - it's not something that is applied to the glass, in some magical, wondrous way the glass blower has "included" those mottled patches of colour inside the glass - if that makes any sense.

Wikipedia might be able to explain it better - in fact, I'm sure they could.
