Unusual 1970s orange tag Levis Hand-Made Denim Maxi Skirt with tall art deco Smoking Lady Embroidery. Discovered in Sacramento CA by a vintage clothing seller who commented that "the tab on the back of the LEVIS is ORANGE and it has a BIG E....but the back pockets are double stitched, so I would say this is a 1970's pair of levis. It has a TALON #42 ZIPPER CLOSER, and a #10 on the back of the top button." Likely one of a kind.
These are nice Hippie! :^) At first I thought the pants were new, but the back shows cuff wear. I wonder if the pants are vintage, but made into the embroidered skirt, more recently, because the denim in the embroidery material looks new? Thanks for posting! :^)
so cool!
Hippie, is that a wear spot where the cigarette is, that makes it look like smoke, or just an area that your lighting has lightened up, by chance? It's a cool looking idea, that the designer did if it is a wear spot! :^)
Hi Bill - always a consideration when buying these artifacts is when they were created especially when buying from a reseller. The smoke is embroidered with white thread. Kinda cool.
Thanks Hippie, but I was talking about the lighter color of blue on the jeans, around the tip of the cigarette, and embroidered smoke! It may just be the lighting! :^)
You can see it in the 2nd pic! :^)
Quite fantastic I would say!
