Here are the now freed cars which have finally been freed from the G-5 Gift Set. The tan plastic tops on three of these tend to become dry, brittle and easily damaged so this set is a good way to get mint examples. Now on with the cars.
The blue vehicle in photo #1 is the Y-12 1909 Thomas Flyabout. It was a luxury car noted for its speed.
Next is the green Y-9 1912 Simplex. A finely made car but I think a windshield would be nice.
Photo 3 and 4 features the Y-14 1911 Maxwell Roadster and Y-4 Opel Coupe.
The Maxwell Roadster is the one with a black top. The top on this is supported by the windshield and ages better than the tan tops. I like the copper gas tank. It is a good looking model.
Last is the Opel Coupe. The brace on the tan top tends to be bent and the seat will come off along with the top so this is very nice as the seat is firmly in place with a mint top. Looks like it would be one of those where one puts on the googles, driving gloves, long coat and so on. And then honk the horn at a horse drawn wagon that won't use a turn out.
These are all magnificent antique cars fort, imagine what it must have been like tooling around in one of these, such grand designs
I think cars this good also require a big mustache, waxed.
Thank you very much Newfld. It would have been an adventure especially as the roads were nit quite roads yet.

Thank you gargoylecollector.
Thank you burtmacklin.
These are great!! They remind me of a red Model T with a black top that I had as a child in the late 1960's.
Thank you very much Scott. I have posted one of those.
