VLCHEK Wrench #WKD 224, Chrome Molybdenum 3/4" and 3/4" specialized open end wrench. Maybe 1934 timeframe. Does anyone know what the special purpose was for specialized tool? (brand of automobile?)

Just a guess, Possibly used for adjusting valve tappets on a flathead engine..
The trademark on this wrench was issued July 25, 1950. So it is a bit newer than you expected.
Thank you patchas and fhrjr2! I'm glad to have narrowed it down to 1950. Do you think it is a special flathead engine or more of a generic wrench?
edszhi from reading the company history I would say it was generic kind of multi use tool. I have two or three of this design but not sure if they are marked. I don't really collect them but buy them to use. The company had military contracts during the earlier years as well as making general use tools. Before 1949 their trademark was the word VLCHEK with an underline. I never gave thought to whether they had a special use until I saw your post and decided to try finding out. Learning is always fun.
I guess I was hoping that someone had a collection of VLCHEK catalogs so if the tool was specialized I could narrow down to someone who really wanted it. Donating to a local thrift shop wouldn't be as rewarding as finding someone who really wanted/needed it. Thanks for your expertise, fhrjr2.
