I'm looking for information on this one... I think it may be from the 1920's but there are not a lot of DeVilbiss compacts or small powder boxes to compare it to. They were mainly prominent for their atomizers, not powder boxes.
Gold tone with green and clear rhinestones, faux pearls; the mirror, puff and sifter are all intact and original. DeVilbiss clearly marked on the back. So many of the old vintage compacts and costume jewelry I have spent many a year being moved around in plastic bags, helping to contribute to their damage and wear.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.
I collect DeVilbiss atomizers, and agree with you that there isn't a lot of information on the compacts. I am only guessing, but I would say this compact would be after WWII. I have the compiled book of catalogs and don't see any compacts. I also looked in the collector's book for DeVilbiss and nothing there either. I posted a question to the IPBA Facebook group. If I get a reply, I will pass it on.
Very beautiful compact !
Thanks for the Loves! And thank you very much Parkerhouse, I'd appreciate any more information that IPBA group can pass on through you!
