i found this beautiful heavy brass bronze desklamp today
the base is made of marble
anyone who can tell me antything about it ?

I don't think this is a mid-century-modern lamp.
Are you thinking more along the lines of Hollywood Regency for this rendition of the Three Graces?

Me thinks that would be so much closer.
I would think possibly later 60's and probably from Italy, where and when they were making a lot of statue lamps ranging from poor to excellent !~
