These are two lovely examples of Loetz DEK IV/714. At first I thought they were DEK IV/106, which to my eyes looks a lot like IV/714.
I just love the shape of the first vase. The second I sold recently.
Thanks for looking!
It's a beauty!
Thank you, Sklo42!
Very nice indeed!...:-)
Nice! That's a shape I haven't seen before!
Both beautiful examples of Rubin Matte Iris DEK IV-714. You are right, DEK IV/106 looks very similar. There is only one small variance between the two decors which is why it takes hours and potential blindness (LOL) to correctly identify each DEK example before uploading it to the site. LOL BTW, this example is PN I-8038 which documents both the shape and decor in the production notes!
Many thanks, Inky and Sammyz!
Potential blindness... LOL!
How old is the first example?
I don't know the exact production year, but well over a 100 years old.
This vase in PN I-8038 was produced in 1899.
Thank you so much, LoetzDance, for sharing all this knowledge!!
