OK I covered everything in the Title section again aside from the age which I do not know. I am thinking pre oil can day or perhaps at a service station. A service station back when they checked your oil, washed your windshield and so on. The last time I recall full service is when I got my drivers license and took my mom's car to the gas station and was told to fill it up to the first click off. I don't think they were checking all that stuff then as full service pretty much was extinct a few months later.
Anyway what I was thinking was that a service station attendant would fill this up from the big oil drums and to add a quart. A quart being the amount one would always be low. I still haven't opened the hood to my car in over two years. Don't think there are user serviceable parts anymore. I used to change my own spark plugs and replace gaskets. I don't even touch my headlight controls just leave it on Auto. The other settings are alien symbols, who knows what they do?
Almost forgot the nifty embossed lettering on the sides. One side has a triangle with lettering and the other says "One Quart Liquid. It also has a large ergonomic handle.
Thank you very much nutsabotas6. Not sure I loved doing it but it did save money.
