Just bought these 2 pieces. We can’t find anything on it to identify maker or age. We would love to know more about the pieces if anyone can help.

Very nice but a reproduction set of furniture it appears to be. The carving on them is not period 1940's which this set is trying to imitate.

May not be 1940s. Just know it is old. Very heavy and well built. Nothing like furniture made in the last 40 years. Found a Jb on the back of the buffet. Not sure if it is an original marking.

Looks to be oak. The style of the pieces is from the 2nd quarter of the 20th century.

A photo of the drawer construction/ interiors may help to date.

I’ll take some more photos of the pulls and insides.

Does appear to be oak. It has a heavy grain.

Thanks-- look forward to seeing photos.

From what I see, I don't see anything that would make me think it is not 2nd quarter, 20th century.
