Just inherited these and am truly interested in learning of their origins. Any help you guys could give me would be truly appreciated.

Greg I am no expert on textiles but I think the first thing you will need to do is remove at least one from it's frame. The backing fabric will help with age and origin, and there may be some annotation on the back.
Once you have done that, good photos in an email to a museum with a textile expert may produce results.
They look like petit point to me, so are worth following up. Lucky man!
