    (159 items)

    C.P. Root Beer Co.
    2100 Pine Street (1924)
    2216 Chestnut (approx: 1929-1933)
    3132-3134 Park Ave (approx: 1936-1960)
    St. Louis, Missouri

I found that a N.L. Lamm, Emil Ernst, and an I.W. Longacre filed for registration of fictitious name on March 10, 1924. A somewhat long lived root beer operation, 36 years or so in St. Louis. Yet these bottle are somewhat scarce. I seen advertisements for the company that would bring root beer to your party or event straight from the barrel. Maybe they sold more root beer by the glass than by the bottle.

The acl bottles, a 7 and a 12 oz date to the late 1940's. The embossed version is probable from the 1930's. Ad from 1956

      bottle-bud,

Do you have any C.P. Root Beer items you are willing to sell or trade? This company was my great-grandfather's (Norbert Lamm). Thank you!

Well I do really wish I had something for you, the only bottles I have are the ones pictured and they are part of my collection of St. Louis soda's. C.P. bottles are really getting hard to find.
Good Luck in finding any memorabilia related to your great-grandfathers company.

I have the three bottles you have pictured (one with soda still) and many more of different types, mugs, straw holders, crates, coolers, pitchers, stoneware, pictures, etc. There are some items I've seen that I don't have. The company began in Minneapolis before being moved to St. Louis. It later had a location in Miami before being sold to a Florida man in the 1960's.

Good information! I did not know that they started in Minneapolis and ended up in Florida. Again Good Luck in finding more C.P. stuff.

By the way, what does the C.P. stand for??
    7. CPRootBeer, 5 years ago
In Minnesota, it was Certified Products, but my grandpa (still living), who worked there, claims it was Certified Pure. They perhaps changed the meaning. There were several flavors such as cola, lemon-lime, and chocolate.

I have a C P Root Beer wooden crate from when the company was in St. Louis.

SheilaK, do you still have the crate? Any chance you are willing to part with it? Thank you!
