I have a box of old post cards that was passed along to me. This one was sent home from North Africa in December 1942. The back says ORAN - Boulevard Gallieni - Lycee au fond. The rear bottom right has an Army Examiner stamp approving it to be mailed and signed by the examiner.

I wasn't sure if there is a category for post cards so posted it under military was era because it was sent home by a GI.

I just looked it up and this card was mailed a month after US troops landed on the beaches of Oran during operation Torch. They landed November 8th, the card was written Dec 9th and mailed Dec 10th.
