I hunted for a shakudo piece for years...
I had the luck to find this bracelet with 15 panels depicting all different insects and a snail!
Unmarked silver mount.
18.5cm long.
2cm wide.
One hinge needed a little soldering, another is a little distressed but functional.
I think it is first third of 20th century, the shakudo pieces were intended for making a bracelet, not alike older pieces coming from Japanese arms/swords.
Exquisite detailed bugs and bzz bzz!

Just love the insects, it reminds me of when I used over 50 bracelets to take apart and put on my Egyptian walls that I was doing. This bracelet is a treasure, and I can see why you treat it as such, magnifique !~
