Hello everyone!!!
We found this bookcase at an estate sale several years ago. Other than it being made of walnut, I know little else about it. It measures 46" tall, 23" wide and 11" deep. I can find no makers mark in or on this.
As you can see, I have it filled with part of my vintage book collection. The top shelf has The Works of Charles Dickens, complete 1938 collection. The second shelf has the complete Harvard Classics from 1969. The bottom shelf has the complete 25 volume collection of Mark Twain, published by Collier in the 1920's.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!!

Grand looking bookcase Scotty I've been looking for a barristers bookcase at a decent price for a few years now.
Beautiful!
Amazing antique bookcase Scott, must be weighty, and love your collection of Dickens and the great philosophers
Wonderful Scott! :-)
Thanks Roy!! We got this one at an incredibly low price.
Thank you Mrstyndall!!!! So glad you like my bookcase.
Thank you Jenni!!! I hope to read all of these books one day. That's a lot of books though.

Beautiful bookcase! The bibliophile in me was troubled (not too much, though!) by the books that need to be righted. LOL The books in our little library here at home are divided into sections and alphabetized (by me, of course). Husband and son rarely go down there.
Thanks T.!!
Thank you Ken!!!
Thank you Laura!! That's funny, I'm a bit OCD and evidently one of my sons had been looking thru these books and placed upside down in the case. I didn't notice this until I had already photographed them. I corrected them right away. Believe it or not, even the money I have in my wallet is categorized by denominations and in order. Bugs me to pieces if it's not:-)

Scott, I believe it. I keep my cash that way as well. Also, and this is funny, there are little free-standing libraries in our town at certain shopping centers. They look like large bird houses with doors, and one can take and/or leave books for others- all free. I find myself straightening the books on the two small shelves when I visit them. I've gotten a wonderful gem or two there as well.
Laura,
That is too funny:)

Thanks clockerman!! My wife made me crate up most of my books and move them to storage. It was either that or give them away to charity:))
Thank you ho2cultcha!!!
Thanks MyCountry!!
I'm a huge fan of Charles Dickens especially. I've been watching Dickensian on Netflix, which is pretty much all of his stories rolled into one.
