No I will not turn this into a lamp although it used to be one. I have been looking at fire extinguishers for the last couple years but hadn't seen a price/condition one that I liked. This one has great color and the hose is in good condition so it caught my eye. Plus the dealer gave me a good price on it so I bought it. Is it a bad sign that antique dealers know you by name? I belly up to my usual place at the register and all that.
Sadly I do not know much about this extinguisher. I did the usual searching but just found guestimates as usual. Guestimate is a real word now as a squiggly red line did not appear under it. This is how one does a good description without knowing much about it.

      Nice...bright n' shiny.
I'm just not sure why some people are against re-purposing items. I like both. I have a good friend who re-purposes items that would have probably ended up in a landfill. Same with cars...I like both stock and modified (as long as it's done tastefully)....I deal with both.

Beautiful! I find the wording "to play" interesting.

Thank you very much buckethead, an excellent question. It depends on the item I think. If it would end up in a landfill repurposing is a fine idea. But I run across a lot of stuff that gets ruined by people who don't know what they are doing or what they are dealing with. Such as my candlestick phone lamp. Probably at least $100 worth a damage. Also people seem to think all antiques need to be restored or repurposed probably from watching shows like Flea Market Flip.
I like hot rods and stock myself. The cars that have been lowered not so much.

Thank you very much betweenthelens. That is an unusual wording that is a tad dated.

I've always wanted one, but I too haven't found one that wasn't priced way too high. This one is a beauty!!!!
