Soldier! Get your head down!
This pleasing looking camo helmet is infact an Austrian M1975 steel helmet. Its design was copied from the US M1 although its chinstraps and leather tongued liner are noticably different. In 1955 when the Allied occupying forces left Austria the new ÖBH was indeed given a supply of US M1 helmets, many wartime period, before they began making their own version in 1957.
